Mandela Day 2026 ✨

The 2026 Nelson Mandela International Day theme is:

“It’s still in our hands to combat poverty and inequity.”

Nelson Mandela Day is celebrated annually on 18 July, Mandela’s birthday, and encourages individuals to dedicate 67 minutes of their time to community service, symbolising the 67 years Mandela spent serving humanity.

The 2026 theme emphasises the role of ordinary people in addressing poverty, hunger, inequality, and social exclusion through sustained community action. It calls on citizens to recognize their power to make a positive impact, whether by volunteering, donating, or supporting local initiatives

BUT YOU HAVE.....

No time to paint walls, play with the children,

or make sandwiches this Mandela Day?

You can still make a difference —

simply give R67

and help change a life.

💛 Busy schedule? You can still make a

difference.
Your R67 gift

= 5 days of meals for one child.

= supplements for 25 days for one child

= 1 outing per child per month

= school transport for 2 months for one child

= 1 set of toiletries - soap, toothpaste, deodorant

= 1 play therapy session with a therapist for one child
💛

🌱 Mandela Day reminds us to give 67 minutes or R67 — but the true impact comes when those gifts add up. An accumulation of many R67 donations creates consistent, reliable support: food, education, therapy, and the stability of a loving home for the children of Hearts of Hope.

✨ When Mandela Day ends and life carries on, your ongoing generosity ensures these children continue to be nurtured, cared for, and given the chance to thrive.

👉 Together, we turn one day of giving

into a lifetime of hope.
